THE POWER WE HOLD.
Take a look at yourself in the mirror what is it you see? what is it you like? if you were to take a photo which part of your body would you most probably shot? a mirror tells you that you are one thing; it is an image but how do you view that image will give it meaning. We attach meaning to ourselves day in and day out through words and the art of language; words have the power to rule us, break us and make us believe that we are beautiful, powerful or even handsome or intelligent!
Language has the ability to construct our very being, to make us into what is uttered by the human mouth; once i was told to be careful what i say it might just come true. "Impossible" you may say, then why is it that women need to hear compliments and nice words and we smile like our lives have been changed or like someone handed you a blank cheque? Words give meaning to us and we then go on and conform to what is said about us, to us and by us. The inevitability to think that there is truth in these words is dependent on the perception and the power of the statement; we give so much grounding to what others say that we forget that it is mere chatter and we should be able to construct what we want by use of language we best suppose suits us. By doing so, we will refrain from the degratifying feelings we get from other people's damming words and instead take back the power that is ours.
We hold in ourselves the ability to change our circumstances let's try, never fail to try; the worst thing is to look in the mirror and see an image you don't want because you believe in how others have described about you. Be at the frontier it is your life, by all means live it with you in the driver's seat. Women need to take back the reigns of their lives and make that image something to be proud of individually....

SINGULARITY OF TRUTH: IS THERE A UNIVERSAL TRUTH OR PLURALITY?
I believe the world is evolving and the ways of man have also evolved with it; prior to the discovery of Gender as a concept, resolve was found, well truth was found, in the male "egocentric- as feminists would acclaim- thinking." The differences realized in societies became the basis for the transcendence and transgression that took over in the 1890s and 1990s; female issues became contended and inclusion tactics were used to ensure women were at the forefront of development: the Personal became Political. There were failures and successes, but what made the news was women's ability to clash with males in the supposed "male preserves;" running machines, driving tractors, and at the same time procreating and feeding families--Women were a force to be reckoned with.
Who then said there is one truth? Who then proclaims that when they see a woman they see a mother and a wife and no other description is added? Who then is speaking the truth; the simpletons that regard women as a singular being- only to find meaning and essence in womanhood, that is motherhood and wife hood, or as a boss, entrepreneur,engineer, lawyer, industrialist, banker, farmer, marketeer?
